ALBERTA ROSE KUNTZ CARELLY

Born in Pennsylvania on June 12, 1909, Alberta Rose Kuntz was the daughter of Edward W. Kuntz (1865-1941) and Mary Ann Forster (1868-1946), both born in Pennsylvania.

The family is found in the 1910 Federal Census of St. Marys, Elk County, Pennsylvania. At that time, Edward, a grocery store clerk, and Mary A., had the following children: John, 17, Emmeron, 15, Eugenia, 14, Salome, 11, Amanches/Amandus, 9, Maria, 2, and Alberta, newborn. In 1920, the Kuntz children at home were Salome, Amandus, Marie and Alberta. By 1930, only Marie and Alberta were at home.

Alberta R. Carelly, born on June 12, 1909, died on January 25, 1999; last residence, Lakeland, Polk County, Florida. Her husband, Alfred, born in 1903, died in 1994.

OBITUARY: ALBERTA CARELLY, 89, Homemaker - Mrs. Alberta Rose Carelly of Lakeland died Monday (Jan. 25, 1999) at home. She was 89. - Born in St. Mary's, Pa., on June 12, 1909, she came to Lakeland from Fort Lauderdale in 1983. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. - She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Carelly. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Bratcher and Sylvia Daughtery, both of Lakeland; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. - Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ott-Laughlin at Glen Abbey, 2198 K-Ville Ave., Auburndale. Alberta Carelly was a homemaker, but she was also a trained professional nurse and had an active license until the end of 1970, at which time she was 60 years old.
