OBITUARY

Marcella C. Angert, 89, of Butler, died Monday at her home.

Born Oct. 10, 1917, in Summit Township, she was the daughter of Joseph and Sara Baldauf Kriley.

A homemaker, she was a 1948 graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh and had formerly worked as a registered nurse at the Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles and the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, and had been a volunteer at the St. Vincent de Paul Society store in Butler. She had also participated in the Silver Sneakers group in Butler.

She is survived by three sons, Charles C. Angert in India, Philip J. Angert of Butler, and Michael J. Angert of Chicora; four daughters, Mary C. Angert of Butler, Janet Angert of Cincinnati, Ohio, Margaret A. Angert of Butler, and Mrs. David (Esther) McCartt of Berkshire, N.Y.; four sisters, Ann Galen, Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Matson (Note: St. Francis Class of 1947-S), and Ruth Shulik, all of Butler, and Lois Jakubisin of Washington State; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. "Clare" Angert. They married Nov. 6, 1950, and he died Oct. 29, 1985. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

ANGERT - Family and friends of Marcella C. Angert, who died Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial that will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Following cremation, inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Butler. There will not be a public visitation.

Cremation services are bring provided by Geibel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations could be made to either the Butler Public Area Library, 218 N. McKean St., Butler, PA 16001 or the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 226 Greater Butler Mart, Butler, PA 16001.
