OBITUARY: Elaine Kisiel, 78, a lifelong resident of Butler, PA, passed away Saturday, October 15 at Butler Hospital after a long illness.

She leaves her husband of 51 years, Joseph Kisiel of Butler, PA, her sister Sister Karen Krebs of Pittsburgh, her sons James Kisiel of Los Angeles, CA, William Kisiel and wife Jacquie of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Joseph Kisiel and wife Jeanne of Erie, Pa, Grandsons Andrew and Nathan, and Granddaughter Emma also of Erie, PA, and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her brother Charles Krebs of Naples, FL and Marilyn Carnahan of Butler, PA.

Born in 1938 and raised in Butler, the daughter of Edward and Iva (Easley) Krebs, Elaine attended St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, PA to become a Registered Nurse. She worked at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Butler for over 20 years.

Elaine had a passion for the Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates. One could find her reading her favorite book, finishing a crossword puzzle, playing pinochle, and visiting the beaches of Outer Banks, NC.

Friends will be received from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. Butler, PA. 16001. A Memorial Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in Elaine’s honor to the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities, 146 Hawthorne Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15209.
