OBITUARY: Alice M. Nescot, 91, of Jeannette, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2011, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 4, 1920, in Saint Marys, a daughter of the late Edward and Caroline Gregory Grotzinger. Prior to her retirement, Alice was a registered nurse for the Westmoreland Manor. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Jeannette and its Rosary Altar Society, the St. Frances School of Nursing Alumni Association and the ECCHS Golden Grads. In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas P. Nescot in 2002; two infant daughters, Mary Caroline and Patricia Ann Nescot; three brothers, George and Charles Grotzinger and the Rev. Alfred Grotzinger, OSB; and five sisters, Amanda Ehrensberger, Mary and Esther Grotzinger, Kathryn Graham and Bernardine Kaveney. She is survived by her children, Patricia Krempecki and her husband, Timothy, of Greensburg, Christine Kurpiel and her husband, Joseph, of Reinholds, Ann Nescot and Daniel Nescot, with whom she resided, Edward Nescot and his wife, Karen, of Lititz, and Thomas Nescot and his wife, Veronica, of Fairport, N.Y.; grandchildren, Melody Stuckey and her husband, Matthew, Edward Nescot, John and Jill Krempecki, Christopher and Robert Kurpiel and James Greene and his wife, Bobbie; great-grandchildren, Travis and Kayla Stuckey; a sister-in-law, Ellen Troy, of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alice's greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 North Second St., Jeannette. The Sacred Heart Rosary Altar Society will pray the Rosary at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Sacred Heart Church with Father Leon Hont, OSB, as celebrant.
