An article in the Daily Times (Beaver County, Pa.), dated September 9, 1944, states that Margaret Gressly, Army Nurse Corps, was seriously ill at the base hospital in New Guinea.

In 1953, Margaret Gressly was a school nurse for the Midland Borough School District, Beaver County, Pa. In the 1955 Lincoln High yearbook, her name was Margaret Gressly Glumac; husband was probably Louis Glumac (1910 - 1996). She resigned her position as school nurse in May 1976.

Margaret Gressly Glumac, born November 26, 1912, died October 29, 1993. Last known residence: Beaver County, Pa.

Margaret E. "Peg" Glumac, 80, of Beaver, died Friday, Oct. 29, 1993, in the Beaver Valley Nursing Center.

Born Nov. 26, 1912, in Beaver, a daughter of the late Oscar E. and Mary Gigi Gressly, she was a graduate of Beaver High School, St. Francis School of Nursing, and Geneva College.

A retired school nurse with the Midland Area School District for over 35 years, she was a member of the National Education Association; was Catholic by faith, and was a first lieutenant in the U. S. Army, serving in the South Pacific dur­ing World War II as a nurse.

Surviving are her husband, Louis Glumac; a stepson, Louis M. Glumac, Baldwin, Pa.; three stepgrandchildren; a brother, Phillip 0. Gressly, Stone Mountain, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Hallisey, in California, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Donald W. Gressly.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the WILSON & ZURIK FUNERAL HOME, 789 Second St., Beaver, where a blessing service will be conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m. by Monsignor Raymond Schultz. Entombment will follow in Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum. The family requests that me­morial contributions may be made, if desired, to the American Cancer Society.
