At the time of the 1930 Census of Allegheny County, Winfield Green, age & occupation not given, was a boarder in the home of Joseph S. and Winifred Bronner, 44th St., Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa. This was probably the accomodations for the male student nurse.

From a list of Pennsylvania Registered Nurses, 1940-1941, published by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners: "Winfield Scott Green, St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh."

W. Scott Green, 30, was a "Physical Technician" at St. Francis Hospital at the time of the 1940 census.

The father, Scott Green, s/o William Green (b Eng) and Rose Ann Barto, born in 1880, died on February 25, 1940.
