Lucia Gabriel was born in Slickville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Louis and Ada (Tardini) Gabriel.

Sister, Blanche, graduated in the Class of 1950-M; sister Rita graduated in the Class of 1955-J.

OBITUARY: Mrs. Lucia Martha (Gabriel) Stinson, age 82, of Lavonia, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at Emeritus at Anderson Place in Anderson, SC. - Born December 13, 1932 in Slickville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ada Gabriel. - After high school, she received her nursing degree and worked as a registered nurse at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Toccoa. - She is survived by her husband: Idus E. Stinson of Lavonia, GA; children: Buddy Stinson of Winston-Salem, NC, Rita Williams of Starr, SC, Susan Stinson of Albany, GA, and Daniel Stinson of Sharpsburg, GA; sister: Rita Tripoli of Washington, PA; and nine grandchildren. - It was Mrs. Stinson’s wishes to be cremated. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Toccoa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 231 Rothell Road Ext, Toccoa, GA 30577.
