IDA FILLINGER BANNER

Class of 1908

A the time of the 1900 Federal Census, Ida Fillinger, born in August 1886, was living with her parents, August J. and Mary (Wilt) Fillinger, on Wood Street, Clarion, Clarion County, Pa. Also in the home were her two sisters, Beatrice and Josephine. In 1910, the father was not listed in the census, and Ida, a Trained Nurse, was residing at the Wood Street address with her widowed mother and her two sisters.

Charleroi Mail - April 14, 1910--Miss Ida Fillinger, a nurse in the Columbia hospital at Wilkinsburg, was in town today, visiting her father, A. J. Fillinger, foreman of the Mail job and composing room.

According to the burials at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Clarion, Augustus J. Fillinger died in 1921. His wife, Mary, died in 1922.

On June 27, 1917, Ida Sophia Fillinger married Edward Henry Banner. He died July 22, 1948. Ida died February 17, 1954. Their only child, Mary Kay, born in 1918, died November 22, 2008. They are buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Clarion.
