Margaret A., Marian Dorothy (Class of 1929), and Ruth V. Fagans (Class of 1932) were sisters, the daughters of David W. and Nannie (Bennett) Fagans of Youngwood, Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

The family was not found together in the 1920 census.

The father, David W. Fagans, died in 1929. The mother, Nannie Bennett Fagans, died in 1952.

According to granddaughter, Marilyn Zimmer Sawyer, Margaret was first married to Ernest Zimmer and divorced. When Margaret died in 1957, her son, Fred Zimmer, found her dead at the bottom of the basement stairs with a laundry basket of some sort. It appeared she had fallen down the stairs, and with nobody home to help her, she died.
