MABEL EVANEK PISCITELLI

Class of 1932

Mabel was born on April 12, 1922 in Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Her parents were Steve T. Evanek and Beatrice Mitchell, both born in Pennsylvania. She had a brother, Thomas M., born in 1924.

In 1930, the family lived in Toby Township, Clarion County. Mr. Evanek was still a Motorman in the coal mine, and his wife worked as a sales peron in a general store. Mrs. Evanek was a former postmaster at Huey, Clarion County.

At the time of the 1940 census, the family lived in Rimersburg, Clarion County. The record indicates they had lived in Rural Butler County in 1935. Mabel graduated from Butler High School in 1939.

Mabel married Dominic J. Piscitelli, according to her mother's obituary. They lived in Mattituck, New York, and they had two children, Mark and Karen. Mabel had a Registered Nurse License in the state of New York.

Mabel's father, Steve T. Evanek, was a veteran of World War I. He was in a car accident and died of a broken neck and other injuries on October 4, 1955. His wife, Beatrice, died on May 26, 1976. They are buried at Butler County Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Butler, Butler County. Their son, Thomas, died in 1985 and he is also buried there.

Mabel Evanek Piscitelli, a resident of Mattituck, New York, died on June 17, 2013.
