Alice Dunn was born on June 18, 1924, the only daughter of Paul John and Margaret (Bayne) Dunn of Kittanning. Her siblings were Raymond Joseph, Paul James, William B., Charles P. and Robert F.

Alice married Charles E. Green and they had four children: Margie, Betty, Richard and Joyce.

The death of Alice Dunn Green occurred on April 14, 1995. She is buried at Saint Marys Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ford City, Armstrong County, PA.

Charles E. Green, 91, of Ford City, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015, in ACMH Hospital.

Born March 28, 1924, in Ford City, he was the son of the late J. Edmund and Anna (Kreutz) Green.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II as a seabee; and retired from P.P.G. Industries, Ford City, after many years of service.

Mr. Green was a devout member of Christ, Prince of Peace Church, where he had served as an usher, and formerly sang in the choir and served on parish council.

He was a member of the Polish Falcons, where he served as a trustee, the Eagles, and the L.A. Club, all in Ford City. Charlie enjoyed bowling, was an avid dancer, and loved music. He played the piccolo in the U.S. Navy band, and also in the Kittanning Firemen’s Band. He also enjoyed participating in the Rosston Chapel Tuesday night gospel sings. Mr. Green was a familiar face in Ford City. He went to the senior center every day for lunch, and could be seen riding his bicycle around town or walking on the Ford City trail.

He is survived by his children, Margie (Bill) Hough of DuBois, Betty (Jim) Beddoe of Pittsburgh, Richard (Marcy) Green of Ford City, and Joyce (Mike) Gresh of Griswold, CT; nine grandchildren, Ed Wilson, Dan Wilson, Bill Gueguen, Bill Wilson, Gretchen Gueguen, Chris Gresh, Sara Green, Bethany Gresh, and Philip Green; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice (Dunn) Green, in 1995; and a sister, Judy Karl.

Friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, Sunday, December 27, 2015 in the Welch Funeral Home in Ford City. Prayers of transfer will be offered at 9:30 AM, Monday, December 28, 2015 in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in Christ, Prince of Peace Church, with Father John Harrold, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, with full military honors accorded by Armstrong County Honor Guard.
