MADELINE DUBLIN

Class of 1935

Madeline Dublin was born on February 23, 1913 to Edward A. Dublin and Catherine Anderson. At the time of the 1920 Federal Census of Midland, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, Mr. & Mrs. Dublin had the following children: Mary G., 23, Josephine, 22, Thomas, 18, Edward, 14, Catherine, 11 and Madeline, 6. (Older daughters, Irene and Margaret, were in the 1910 census.)

The Pittsburgh Press, Dec 21, 1925 -- EDWARD A. DUBLIN, of 736 Beaver Ave., Midland, Pa., died there Saturday. He was a member of the Church of the Presentation of Midland. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catherine Dublin, six daughters, Mrs. John Callahan of Cleveland; Mrs. Carl McCollough of Weirton, W. Va.; Mrs. William Taylor of Pittsburgh; Josephine, Catherine and Madeline Dublin, all at home, and two sons, Thomas and Edward, both at home.

Madeline graduated from Midland High School, Beaver County, in the Class of 1931.

The Daily Courier, Connellsville, PA, June 17, 1948 -- "Madeline Dublin Gets Degree in Medicine - Miss Madeline Dublin, daughter of Mrs. Katheribne Dublin of Canton, Ohio, and the late Edward Dublin, former residents of Connellsville, was graduated Saturday, June 12, from Marquette University at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a degree of doctor of medicine. - Dr. Dublin, who is also a graduate of the St. Francis School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, will begin her internship July 1 in Aultman Hospital at Canton, Ohio. - Miss Anna Clifford of West Gibson Avenue and Mrs. T. B. Miller of Masonic Apartments are cousins of Dr. Dublin."

Logansport Pahros-Tribune (Indiana), July 28, 1949 -- "Doctor Madeline Dublin of Canton, Ohio, has purchased the newly built home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Moncel in the northeast part of Francesville. Doctor Dublin will take possession as soon as it can be vacated by the Moncel family. - She is the new doctor here and had her office in the Crittendon Hotel. Betty Jane Davis, R. N., also of Ohio, will reside here with the doctor who was brought here through the auspices of the Lions club. Dr. Raymond Stover, who formerly practiced here, moved with his family to Idaho."

Dr. Dublin, a resident of Francesville, Pulaski County, Indiana, died September 6, 1975 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Nurse friend, Betty Davis, gave the information for the death record. Dr. Dublin is buried at Roselawn Cemetery in Francesville.
