According to her Social Security record, Agnes Dolores Dluhos was born in Delancy, Cambria County, Pennsylvania, on January 25, 1913, to John Dluhos and Helen Meko, both born in Czechoslovakia.

At the time of the 1930 Federal Census, the Dluhos family lived in Struthers, Mahoning County, Ohio, where Mr. Dluhos worked as an Oiler in a Steel Mill. The children in the home in 1930 were Anna, 25, Joseph, 23, Mary, 22, Pauline, 20, Agnes, 17, and Helen, 14, all born in Pennsylvania, and Andrew, 12, born in Ohio.

In the 1940 census, Agnes was listed as age 26, and was a Head Nurse at St. Francis Hospital.

Agnes married Clarence N. Schmolder of Pittsburgh. He died on March 3, 1968 in Struthers, Mahoning County, Ohio.

Funeral Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church.

DLUHOS, 101, who died Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman Campus. - Joseph was born May 9, 1906 in Pennsylvania, a son of John and Helen Meko Dluhos. - He had worked for the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company as a foreman and electrical engineer for many years. - Joseph was a WWII Army veteran and was also the oldest living member of St. Nicholas Church. - His wife, the former Dorothy Parker, whom he married in 1960, died Sept. 26, 1977. - He leaves several nieces and nephews, especially his niece, Barbara Banks of Poland. - A brother, Andrew and six sisters, Mary Holechko, Pauline Caravella, Anna Kuba, Agnes Schmolder, Margaret Novak and Helen Dluhos, are deceased. - Friends may call one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
