Ruth Marie Clark was born in Columbia Hospital, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on September 14, 1908. Her birth record names her parents, Edward William Clark and Mamie Doyle. The mother's name was actually Mary Jane Doyle.

The father, Edward W. Clark, died on December 15, 1925, at age 52.

At the time of the 1930 census, Mary J. Clark lived on Braddock Street with her two youngest childen. Her father, Anthony Doyle, 86, also lived there. Ruth Marie graduated from nursing school that year.

In May 1950, Ruth Marie Clark applied for Veteran Compensation for her military service. The address she gave for mailing the check was Brookhaven National Lab, Upton, Suffolk County, New York. Her periods of service were between August 15, 1941 and February 7, 1946. [Brookhaven opened in 1947.]

Ruth Marie Clark married Theodor Korsos, also an employee of the Brookhaven National Laboratory. He was born in Hungary on May 10, 1905, and he immigrated in 1922. The index card of his Naturalization record indicates he was missing one arm.

Mary Jane "Mayme" Clark died on June 24, 1960: The Patchogue Advance, October 13, 1960 - "Application has been made for letters of administration on the estates of the following: Mary Jane Clark, also known as Mayme Clark, of East Patchogue, who died June 24; value of estate, about $10,000 in personal property; Ruth C. Korsos, daughter, 29 Beverly Avenue, East Patchogue, petitioner."

In a July 1961 "Bulletin of the Medical Department" at Brookhaven, Ruth C. Korsos is named as the Nursing Supervisor.

HUSBAND'S OBITUARY: The Long Island Advance, Sept 6, 1979 - Theodor Korsos, 74, of East Patchogue, died on Augsut 30 at Brookhaven Memorial. He was born in Hungary and had been a resident of this area for the past 32 years. He was a technician at the Brookhaven National Laboratory until his retirement in 1970. - He is survived by his wife, Ruth C. Korsos of East Patchogue; and one brother, Joseph Korsos of East Patchogue. - A Blessing was offered Saturday at the Robertaccio Funeral Home. Interment followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram.

Brother, Edward L. Clark, born in 1910, died October 4, 1978 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Sister, Jeanne Kathryn Clark McMonagle, born 1914, died in March 1980 in Dade County, Florida.

Ruth Marie Clark Korsos died on March 16, 1999 in Patchogue, Suffolk County, New York. She is buried next to her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram, New York.
