Alene Lorraine Bevevino was born in 1923 in Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Rosario Bevevino and Rosa Scalise, both born in Italy. She graduated from Warren High School.

While a student nurse, she participated in the U. S. Army Nurse Corps.

A. Lorraine Bevevino married William Bengston, whose picture appeared next to hers in the 1940 Warren High School Yearbook.

William S. Bengston, an Army Veteran of World War II, died November 9, 1974. He is buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Warren, Pa.

HUSBAND'S OBITUARY: William St. Clair Bengston, 52, 34 Kamp St., Warren, died in Warren General Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 9, 1974, at 10 p.m. following an extended illness. - Born in Clarendon on Oct. 10, 1922, he was the son of the late Arthur and Nellie St. Clair Bengston. He was a lifelong resident of the Warren Area and was employed as an electrician for several years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served with the 60th Infantry Division of the Army during World War II. - Surviving him are his wife, Lorraine B. Bengston; one daughter, Sandra, at home; one son, Scott Bengston, Greenville, Del.; three brothers, Richard Bengston, Cherry Hill, N.J., Rev. Raymond Bengston, Pittsburgh, and Rev. Robert Bengston, Costa Mesa, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ann Lutes, Clarendon; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. - Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home and a funeral service will be held there Tuesday at 11 a.m., with Monsignor A. M. Bauer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

OBITUARY: A. Lorraine Bengston, 93, of Warren, PA, died Friday, July 8, 2016 at Warren General Hospital. Born on May 12, 1923 in Warren, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Rose Scalise Bevevino. On March 20, 1950 she married William St. Clair Bengston, who died in November 1974. Lorraine was a lifetime resident of Warren and was a 1940 graduate of Warren Area High School. She later graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in Pittsburgh. She was employed as a nursing supervisor at Warren State Hospital where she worked for 28 ½ years, retiring in 1983. Lorraine was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church where she was a former Eucharistic minister. She loved her family and had a passion for cooking. Surviving are her daughter – Sandra Confer of Warren, PA, her son, Scott Bengston and his wife, Pat, of Warren, PA, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son who died in 1954, 6 brothers – Joseph, Ange, Bill, Anthony, Frank and John Bevevino, and a sister, Rose Fadale. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA, with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
