Rose Marie Bartyczak, born April 5, 1926, married Bernard John Mazur. They resided in Michigan and had two children, Lynnette J. and John Joseph. Following the death of Rose, age 57, in October 1983, Bernard married Helen Jean (Dombski) Fetock. Helen died in 2001.

Rose Marie's daughter, Lynnette J. Mazur, MD, MPH, FAAP, is a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Texas.

Note from Dr. Lynnette J. Mazur, Jan 26, 2010: "...I still have my mom's nursing cape, pins, and hat. She married and moved from Pennsylvania after graduating and was a surgical nurse at the VA hospital in Dearborn Michigan for 30+ years until her death in 1983. She saw me graduate from medical school. I still use the stethoscope she used...."
