BAR

This non-profit site, created by Linda Cunningham Fluharty, Class of 1983, is the FIRST online to memorialize the now defunct St. Francis Medical Center (General Hospital) School of Nursing and honor its many graduates.

The hospital was the mother of the School of Nursing; the School of Nursing was the mother of the Alumni Association. Since these mothers are gone, it seems fitting to memorialize them and celebrate their lives.

The Alumni Association of the St. Francis School of Nursing is "alive and well," according to Alexis Weber, the former Director of the School of Nursing. The organization continues to do its good work, providing scholarships and tuition assistance. - Sadly, however, with the demise of the mother institutions, the life of the Alumni Association is no longer infinite.

The names of the graduates, provided by Nancy McAdams and Ivy Shaffer, are presented here as a tribute to all of the men and women who achieved the status of "professional nurse" by attending the school of nursing at St. Francis, where the standard was EXCELLENCE.

Visitors to this site are invited to submit photos, biographies and obituaries of the graduates.
